I am a realistic graphite and colored pencil artist who seeks to develop and improve my skills with each new work. I have been drawing since she was 6.
I am drawn to the control and precision of graphite pencils that is needed in realism. Recently I started working with color pencils and am attracted to the slow, layering process that requires a lot of patience. With meticulousness and understanding of the medium, the ending result is not possible with other mediums.
I studied at Parsons School of Design in New York in fine art and then moved into fashion. While busy with the fast paced nature of the fashion world, I drew daily on the computer, in pencil, and painted.
I draw my inspiration from a life-long love of animals, nature, and fashion. I live in Carson City, Nevada with myhusband and golden retriever, Beau. Our two boys attend the University of Nevada, Reno. We love to go on adventures and be inspired by the beauty of Northern Nevada.

I use mainly use granite pencils and colored pencils in my art currently. However, I have painted in acrylics, watercolors, gouache, and oils. I have never worked in a single medium. It feels too restrictive to the creative process.

Drawing brings me peace and place to enjoy and absorb the beauty of the world. My highest goal is to convey some of that peace to the viewer.
Getting outside is good for the soul. As a realism artist, I strive to capture the reality, beauty, truth, accuracy and perfection of nature, which attracts me to study and draw it.
